OneEnergy Renewables Announces 2017 Energy Scholars

February 17, 2017

SEATTLE – February 17, 2017 – OneEnergy Renewables, a leading developer of utility-scale clean energy projects across North America, is happy to announce its 2017 OneEnergy Scholars® class in partnership with Net Impact, a leading nonprofit that empowers a new generation to use their careers to drive transformational change in the workplace and the world.

Now in its sixth year, the OneEnergy Scholars program recognizes graduate students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision in the renewable energy industry. OneEnergy Scholars gain access to a number of opportunities designed to help jumpstart their careers, including mentorship from seasoned industry professionals, personalized career counseling, invaluable internships and a host of networking prospects.

“This year’s Energy Scholar applicant pool was incredibly competitive, with roughly 90% of the applicants focused squarely on the solar industry. In addition to being highly-qualified, we saw a significant trend toward studies in specific sectors of the solar industry, whether project finance or environmental compliance,” said Jennifer Barnes, VP of Operations & Communications at OneEnergy Renewables. “We extend our congratulations to the 2017 OneEnergy Scholar class and we are honored help advance the careers of such a remarkable group of future renewable energy leaders.”

The 2017 OneEnergy Scholars are:

Miles Archer, Cornell University – Johnson Graduate School of Management;

Lewis Bichkoff, The University of Texas at Austin - McCombs School of Business;

Jeffrey Bryant, Harvard Business School – Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School;

Alexander Klonick, Duke University – Nicholas School of the Environment;

Lillian Mirviss, University of California, Santa Barbara – Bren School of Environment Science and Management;

Sanjna Malpani, Yale University – School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

The 2017 class was formally recognized at the 24th Annual Net Impact Conference, held November 3-5, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
