Across the span of more than two decades in the solar industry, Tobin has participated in delivering more than 2 GW of solar development across 900+ sites in 30 U.S. states and territories. These sites include a wide variety of utility-scale projects as well as commercial and industrial facilities located on open real estate, federal buildings, corporate campuses, retail stores, airports, and stadiums.
His background in the solar industry encompasses nearly everything from solar engineering to asset management. From 2020 to 2024, Tobin served as OneEnergy’s CEO. Tobin previously founded and served as CEO of Blue Oak Energy, a full-service solar firm based in California. After its successful sale to Coronal Energy and Panasonic, Tobin took on the role of Chief Engineering Officer. Tobin also served as CEO of Stokes Vannoy, where he financed and delivered long-term solar investments.
Tobin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. He is a licensed mechanical engineer, licensed electrical engineer and a licensed contractor.
Travis is the CEO of OneEnergy, responsible for overseeing the company’s operations in alignment with its mission, vision, and values. Since joining OneEnergy in 2011, he has directed commercial and development strategy, guided the company’s investment and divestment decisions, and has worked closely with internal teams, customers, communities and other external stakeholders to advance over 1 GW of solar deployment that is currently operating or under construction across the U.S. in multiple markets.
Prior to OneEnergy, Travis spent nearly a decade working for one of the largest global alternative investment managers specializing in hedge funds, private equity and real assets, serving in a variety of roles including as head of client communications and capital markets research, managing and expanding institutional client relationships, co-founding an office in London and co-authoring numerous reports and white papers related to risk and portfolio management.
Travis holds an M.A. in Economics and Energy, Resources and Environment from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.A. in International Relations from Brown University.
Kim’s nearly 20-year career in energy has encompassed a wide variety of interests. She has worked in both wind and solar, and her roles have included strategy, project acquisitions, development, PPAs, finance and procurement.
At Iberdrola Renewables, Kim built and managed the U.S. solar power business, and also closed the company’s first sale-leaseback financing structure for more than $100 million. As the director of wind asset management at PPM Energy, she developed and managed a team responsible for the P&L of over 2,000MW of wind assets.
Most recently, Kim worked as the head of Renewable Energy Procurement and later Strategy and Corporate Development for 3Degrees. She advised companies on how to reduce their carbon footprint through the purchase of renewable energy and worked to increase 3Degrees’ impact, enabling various corporate customers to take urgent action on climate change.
Kim has BA from UC Berkeley, an MBA and an MPH from San Diego State University, and an MS in Society and Bioethics from King’s College, London.
Lindsay is the CFO of OneEnergy and has over 11 years of experience as an executive leader at high-growth private companies primarily in the renewable energy sector as well as a publicly traded Independent Power Producer. Her diverse background encompasses project and corporate capital raising, corporate strategy, platform/portfolio/project acquisitions and sales, supply chain issue management, information systems, post-merger integration, accounting and financial reporting, and she has a strong track record of building and retaining high-performing teams.
Lindsay’s work experience includes Deloitte, Veolia, Atlantic Power, Neoen, Ridgeline Energy, and OneEnergy Renewables.
She is an inactive CPA and holds a Masters of Accountancy as well as a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
Steve Trainer co-founded the Seneca Group, a prominent, local Seattle development management company from which he retired in 2011. Prior to co-founding the Seneca Group, Steve was a Senior Vice President and Principal at Wright Runstad and Company. Over his forty year career, Steve has been involved in over 50 projects in the greater Puget Sound area.
Currently on the Boards of Seattle University, and Chief Seattle Club, Steve has previously served on the Boards of the Downtown Seattle Association, Housing Resources Group, Elderhealth Northwest, Holy Names Academy, and CARE.
Steve holds a BA in History from Stanford University and graduated cum laude from the University of Washington with a BS in Building Construction.
