Members of the local Fond du Lac 4-H group and their families recently toured Ledgeview Solar, a 5MWac solar project developed by OneEnergy. This site is currently under construction by Interconnection System Inc. (ISI), and will be completed at the end of this year.

While construction is underway and the trenches for underground wiring are still exposed, the kids tracked the path of the energy from the individual solar panels to the inverters and out into their community. They also learned about how farmers can collaborate with solar developers and utilities to continue using their land for agricultural purposes. This 30-acre project will be rotationally grazed by sheep, courtesy of Halbur’s Heavenly Hill Farm.
