Bringing fresh innovative energy to each site and community
OneEnergy partnered with We Energies to deliver an 8.64 MWdc solar site in Walworth County, WI.
The site not only features bifacial panels, but will also feature native pollinator habitat. Pollinator friendly solar projects sequester carbon (the process of capturing and storing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere), into the soil through plants, while carbon emissions are simultaneously reduced by using renewable solar energy. Planting native prairie species restores soil by preventing erosion, improving soil structure, increasing carbon storage, diversifying microbial communities, and increasing soil fertility.
